Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born to a music-loving family. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form drama. Ana began to learn how to play and sing from an early age, along alongside her mother. She received more formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. While a young student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move to America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. She is involved with many local projects, both as a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana has also been a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
