Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. As a young girl, she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she studied at The Dragon School. Emma chose to be an actor when she was six. Over the course of several years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing, dancing and acting. She had already performed in numerous Stagecoach and school productions by the time she was 10 years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having 8 consecutive auditions. Emma's debut on screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in the year 2001. The most successful film of 2001 The film broke records for its opening day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. The film was praised by critics and the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read and widely read, praised her performance as admirable.
