MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In 2017 the song he released in 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released ADN the first of his long-players for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the top of the charts, being ranked eighth on the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca and it was it was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he debuted his charting sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia alongside Noriel. He appeared later in 2021 performing a duet TINI on her streaming hit track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo's parents and brothers also played instruments when the time he was born. According to him, musicality was a fundamental part of his life. He started playing the guitar, saxophone piano, and ukulele as when he was a child. When his original career plan was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with an Cuban teacher. The end result of recognizing his gift in the field of singing changed the trajectory of his life.
